Buyer’s Guide
A short guide through the most important things you should know before choosing your ideal table. Materials, styles, construction and practical advice.
How to choose the ideal table for your space
The ideal table depends on three key factors: the dimensions of your space, the way
you use it and the overall interior style. A table should complement the room without
making it feel cramped. For smaller areas, thinner lines and simpler constructions work
best, while larger rooms can handle more massive and robust designs.

Types of boards we use (Egger, solid wood, MDF…)
We most often use Egger boards due to their excellent quality, durability and a wide range of decors. We also work with solid wood (oak, walnut) as well as MDF, which is ideal for high-gloss or deep matte lacquered surfaces.
Advantages of steel construction
A steel construction provides unmatched stability and longevity. Unlike factory-made tables that often use thin pressed metals, our tables are built with full steel profiles that do not bend, wobble or squeak even after years of use.
Matte vs. high gloss
Matte surfaces offer a modern, elegant look and hide fingerprints better. High gloss reflects light, giving a more luxurious tone, but requires more careful maintenance.
What is the best tabletop thickness?
The best balance of aesthetics and stability is achieved with boards 36–40 mm thick. Thinner boards (18–25 mm) look visually lighter but require a stronger frame. Thick boards (40–60 mm) create a dominant, luxurious presence in the room.
Why is handcrafted work important?
Handcrafted production ensures precision that mass manufacturing simply cannot achieve. Every joint, line and millimeter is handled by the craftsman who builds the table. The result is a piece that lasts for decades and looks more like a sculpture than a factory product.
How to maintain your table
For everyday cleaning, a microfiber cloth and mild detergent are enough. Avoid aggressive chemicals and abrasive sponges. Solid wood benefits from occasional oiling, while Egger boards are extremely resistant and require minimal care.
What is powder coating and why is it better than paint?
Powder coating is a finishing process where powder paint is applied and then baked at high temperatures. The result is a finish far more durable than classic liquid paint:
- resistant to scratches
- does not rust
- does not peel off
- withstands outdoor conditions
